Our New Website Has Launched!   by Eliane & Jon Dotson

Although it took longer than we anticipated, we are thrilled with our brand new website!  Many of you responded to our survey 2 years ago about what you liked and didn't like about our old website, and we took all of this feedback into account when designing the new one.  With your help we have developed a new site that is faster, more responsive, and more visually appealing.
Our new homepage

What Hasn't Changed
Our auctions will still run in the same manner, with the online catalog available for bidding for 1-2 weeks, and auctions closing at 10 PM Eastern.  We still have the functionality to which you are accustomed, such as browsing and searching through the auction, the Watch List, and the Bid Status List.  And you can use your current username and password to access the site.

New Features
Of course we have also added some new enhancements to improve the experience for both bidders and consignors.  Here are a few of the new features:
When viewing the current auction or the archive, the Table of Contents always appears at left, and a Search bar is available at the top of the list of lots.
All bidder and consignor activities have been consolidated under a "My Account" menu located in the top navigation bar on the site
The updated Bid Status page uses color-coding to identify which of your bids are above the reserve, below the reserve, or outbid

Browser Requirements
Our new website is mobile-friendly and works on all modern browsers, including Google Chrome, Safari, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.  Not all functionality works on older browsers, such as Internet Explorer 11, which is no longer supported by Microsoft.  Internet Explorer was replaced with Microsoft Edge and will be completely phased out by 2020.  If you use Internet Explorer 11, our recommendation is to download Google Chrome (https://www.google.com/chrome/).

Coming Soon
We will continue adding more functionality in the upcoming months.  Here are a few of the features we are already working on:
  • Additional search functionality, including searching within a price range, condition range, or date range (for the past auction archive)
  • Additional browse functionality to allow you to select how many lots are visible on a page at one time (currently the maximum is 50 per page)
  • Adding over 80,000 high-resolution images to the past auction archive

Step-By-Step User Videos
To assist you in transitioning to the new site, we are creating a series of step-by-step videos to guide you through browsing and searching through the archive, how to bid on a lot, managing your Watch List, and more.  Our first video is already available and will guide you on how to browse and search on our site, whether in the past auction archive or the current auction.  Please click the image below to view the video.  More videos will be added to our YouTube channel before the auction goes online.
