Handsome map of the mountainous Lombardy region of northern Italy and portions of southern Switzerland with the glacial lakes of Maggiore, Lugaro and Como roughly in the center and Lake Geneva to the left. The map is simply ornamented with a strapwork title cartouche and a block-style distance scale. Latin text on verso, published between 1589-95.

A sharp, early impression on a watermarked sheet with a few spots of foxing at bottom left, minor offsetting along the centerfold, and light toning along the edges of the sheet.
