A handsome map of northern Italy centered roughly on Milan and Lake Como. The map is filled with details of towns, roads, and topographical details, including the Po River system. The title cartouche features Mars, the Roman god of war, and Ceres, the Roman goddess of agriculture and the harvest.

A sharp impression with contemporary color in the map and later color in the cartouche, on a bright sheet with a small abrasion south of Mantua, an archivally repaired centerfold separation at bottom, and dampstains along the sides of the sheet, not affecting the image.
