This very detailed map centered on Mansfeld was prepared by Tilemano Stella, a German cartographer who made maps of Germany and the Holy Land. Detail includes graphic depictions of mountains, rivers, marshes, forests and cities. The title cartouche is flanked by two cherubs dressed as knights - one of whom has just slain a dragon. The coat of arms is above the cartouche. German text on verso, published between 1641-70.
