Copper engraving with original outline color. Based on Sanson’s map, this plate was originally engraved in 1738; this issue with Delamarche imprint added. It shows France under the Gauls with two regions: “Gallia Comata” to the North and “Gallia Braccata” to the south., and Tuscany marked as “Gallia Togata”. The Roman roads are prominently noted. Table in French text.
