Unusual, folding Civil War period map with great detail. Stretches west to about the 103rd Meridian. Depicts Pony Express Route, railroads, U.S. Mail routes and other important roads together with hundreds of forts. Four tiny ships sail in the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico. Tiny tear at binding side, repaired with archival tape.
