This 518 page volume contains the first official report of the Battle at Little Big Horn (pages 30-35): “The terrible calamity that befell Lieutenant-Colonel Custer’s column makes it important to adopt exact official language, and I give General Terry’s exact words, under date of June 27….” Also included are the detailed reports of Major Reno, General Miles, General Terry and others (pages 439-487, 498-518). The report also includes 9 plates, 8 of which are colored, of the accoutrements of Union uniforms. Disbound.
Contents are mostly clean with some light dampstaining to the folding plates and margins of the text. Text block is intact but lacks covers.
