This 518 page volume contains the first official report of the Battle at Little Big Horn (pages 30-35): “The terrible calamity that befell Lieutenant-Colonel Custer’s column makes it important to adopt exact official language, and I give General Terry’s exact words, under date of June 27….” Also included are the detailed reports of Major Reno, General Miles, General Terry and others (pages 439-487, 498-518). The report also includes 9 plates, 8 of which are colored, of the accoutrements of Union uniforms. Disbound.
