Finely engraved map from one of the most decorative French atlases of the 18th Century. Extends to show all islands including Bornholm and includes most of Schleswig-Holstein. Decorative rococo-style cartouche. The map (10 x 9.2") is surrounded in an elaborate baroque-style border engraved by J. Aveline featuring cherubs using globes and cartographic instruments and flanked by panels of French text.
