"A Correct Chart of the Irish Sea, &c Exhibiting a View of the Several Islands & Bays, Lately Touch'd at by M. Thurot, in His Attempt upon Ireland", Gibson, John

This nicely engraved sea chart depicts the region with detail along the coastlines of the British Isles. A large area in St. George's Channel is labeled The Nymph Bank. A tiny fleet of ships is located between the Isle of Man and Belfast. Block style title cartouche, fleur-de-lis, and rhumb lines embellish the chart. Published in the March 1760 issue of Gentleman's Magazine.
