Nice lot of small seventeenth century maps covering Bavaria and the Danube River.

1) Bavaria by Ortelius, published in Vrients' Epitome theatri orbis terrarum in 1609 (4.8 x 3.3") The map was engraved by the brothers Ambrose and Ferdinand Arsenius who had been assistants to Frans Hogenberg and co-engravers of Ortelius' folio Theatrum. Latin text on verso. Ref: King (2nd ed.) pp. 88-89. There is some show through of text and a light stain in margins, else fine.

2) Palantinatus Bavariae by Mercator, published in Jansson's edition of the Atlas Minor in 1628 (7.2 x 5.3") French text on the verso.

3) Sweviae Circulus, by Cluver, published in Jansson's edition of Introductionis in Universam Geographicam in 1661 (7 x 5.2")
