The Saxon kingdoms are the focus of this historical map of England and Wales. Saxon place names and battlefields are shown. The distance scale cartouche includes a key to the symbols used and gives examples of Saxon lettering. The map was engraved by John Stuart, with his imprint at bottom.

Good impression and wide original margins with a tape residue stain in the lower left margin, not affecting the map. Toned on verso.
