This small map is a simplified version of the important Thornton-Morden-Lea map of 1685. It covers the area from the May River to just north of Albermarle Sound at the North Carolina border and extends westward to the Apalatian Mountaines. Detail is confined to the coastlines where rivers are named and several early settlements appear. Printed on a full sheet (5.5 x 7.7) of English text containing a description of the colony and its history.
