An important map illustrates the new military road beginning at the MacKinac Strait and ending at the Titabawassee River. It is a highly detailed map drawn on a scale of 3 miles per inch in the strip-map style. Remarkable detail along the route showing scores of swamps, forests with tree types noted, numerous river and creek fords, and much more.
