This unusual little chart compares the angle and degree of continental offset from north and south. This map was published in the Buffon's thirty-six volume Histoire Naturelle (1749-1789). Georges Louis LeClerc, the Comte de Buffon, was a French naturalist, and the author of one of the earliest accounts of the global history of biology and geology that was based on empirical evidence, per Sir Isaac Newton.
Nice crisp example on very sturdy paper. Surface soil in margins.
