A lovely map without attribution but possibly by T. Bowen or T. Kitchen. Alaska is taking shape according to the discoveries of Capt. Cook, New Zealand is complete, and the Sandwich Islands and numerous other Pacific islands are shown. Tasmania is still shown attached to Australia and New Guinea's coastlines are incomplete. The tracks of Capt. Cook are shown throughout. The map is surrounded by a floral garland with geographical circles and the solar system flanking the title cartouche at top. At bottom are terrestrial and celestial globes and an armillary sphere.
