"[Set of Pocket Maps - Great Britain]", British Ordnance Survey

Brown leather motorist's case with sixteen folding maps, in eight leather covers. These maps are the "Quarter-Inch to One Stature Mile" series with the "New National Grid". Each map forms a strip, 9" x 100" (approximately), mounted on linen and folded into leather covered boards (4 x 9") with two maps in each cover. Together they cover all of England, Wales and Scotland. This is a superb set from the golden age of motoring.

Distributor's stamp inside case and on paper label inside each map. Case complete with key, top and side rubbed, stitching starting. Maps very fine.
