Nice group of leaves from this early work. Each containing at least one historiated initial and/or Gothic woodblock illustration including portraits, views, animals, and coats of arms. There are some great view of medieval cities, odd exotic creatures and battle scenes. Twenty-one are from a German edition and one is from a Latin edition (slightly smaller at 8.2 x 12.2").
