Decorative twin hemisphere star chart with allegorical representations of the constellations. The constellation figures are derived from the prototypes in Bayer's Uranometria. Surrounding the charts are diagrams of the Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn, each with their namesake in Greek mythology. Finely engraved by Herman van Loon.
