Richly embellished map of the important kingdoms of Fez and Morocco with a large inset titled "Penon de Velez" showing the Spanish fort off the Barbary coast. The map extends into the Atlantic to include the Canary Islands and Madera. Three strapwork cartouches complete the composition and the sea is filled with ships and a sea monster.
Light even toning, tiny hole on centerfold and a couple of tears in margin. Small area of paper in the margin is missing resulting from the removal of sealing wax on the verso (two spot of wax remain). Flaws can easily be repaired or covered in framing.
