Beautiful fully colored compass rose and rhumb lines set off this chart. Shows all of South America and the western portion of Africa, locating Sandwich Land, Isle of Georgia, Galapagos Islands, Juan Fernandez, the Falklands, etc. Filled with interesting notations such as "C. Circumcision (Jan. 1st, 1739, very doubtful)", "Breakers according to the Dutch", "I. dos Picos according to van Keulen, very doubtful" and more. A handsome chart engraved by Thomas Kitchen. Facsimile of atlas title page included.
