This issue has the U.S. Capital frontispiece and one of the more interesting and graphic maps showing the comparisons of the world's mountains and rivers. Green cloth covers with leather spine and corners, and marbled endpapers. Embossed with gold titles. Four maps completely split with chipping and tears: U.S., NY, Europe, and Italy. Ten with partial splits at centerfold with no loss: PA/NJ, VA/WV, TX, IN, IL, MI/WI, West Indies, So. America, Ireland/Scotland, and Holland/Switzerland. Paper is a bit fragile.
Spine leather just splitting and worn. Covers worn, but intact. Light damp stains in the margins of some maps. Most map very good, except for the faults noted.
