The preface explains the purpose of the book and notes that "these maps being engrav'd by a foreigner, some of the places retain the French terminations, many of which have been rectified, though it was too late to mend them all." The maps are all very crisply engraved and most contain decorative cartouches. Complete per table of contents.
Rebound in simulated brown leather with gold title on spine. Contents generally fine with a bit of light foxing in the margins of a few maps. Signature of a previous owner on title page dated 1792.
