Very nice set of hand colored copper engravings from this important 19th century botanical illustration book. Benjamin Maund, with the assistance of Rev. John Stevens Henslow, compiled the descriptions for 250 ornamental plants and employed the most gifted English artists to illustrate his work. These are all really nice plates, in a variety of colors.
Minor soil and damp stain in margins, else fine.
