An interesting sheet composed of 14 vignettes showing the Native Americans that the first European explorers encountered in the New World. These scenes are taken from Theodore de Bry's influential work. Included are ceremonial dances, burial practices, farming, hunting, villages, costumes, etc. Each engraving is accompanied by an explanation in French text.
