Large map compiled from the official records of the General Land Office and other sources. A legend provides the key to symbols used. The broad band across the map marks the ten and twenty mile limits of the land grants extended to help finance the Kansas Pacific RR. It is a detailed county map, accurate to the extent reliable information was available.

The colorful map has no flaws other than some toning along folds and one marginal tear. Backed with Japanese tissue.
