This edition is revised by Hiram Mattison and published by Mason Brothers. Complete as issued: six hand colored maps of the constellations, two uncolored maps of clusters, nebulae, double stars etc., and one (uncolored) double page plate with planets, orbits, satellites etc. Back cover includes a fine engraving of the Great Equatorial Telescope of Harvard University.
Plates are in overall good to fine condition with some faint toning and offsetting. Paper covers are detached and soiled with brown ink signature of a previous owner on front cover. Overall very good condition for an atlas with paper covers.
