Nice vellum leaf from the Suffrages, the prayers to the Saints. These prayers helped round out the spiritual needs of late medieval and Renaissance men and women. The leaf contains a prayer to Saint Anthony. The text is written in two different hands in brown-black ink, with red rubrics and one decorated initial with burnished gold leaf and blue, red and white ink.
