Wonderfully decorative leaf from a Book of Hours written in France, probably Paris. Both sides are delicately illuminated in the margins with flowers and acanthus leaves in bright colors and fine gold lines. The text is from the Office of the Dead, Vespers, Psalm 137:2 (138 King James version) and includes several illuminated initials in red, white, blue and gold leaf.
