Nice Ptolemaic map of Northern Africa with the twin lake sources of the Nile located near the 'Lune montes'. The Niger River is prominently features in Libya with its source is several interior lakes. It is shown disappearing under several mountain ranges and flowing underground. Strapwork title cartouche.

Faint foxing, repaired tear entering 3" into map at bottom right, and printers crease.
