Superb woodblock panorama of Heidelberg showing the city with its magnificent cathedrals and hilltop castle. In the foreground flows the Neekar River spanned by a covered bridge. This is a rare early view of the city consisting of two joined sheets. Two coats of arms above the city. $700 RESERVE

Condition: A+
Because of its size, it was issued folded into the binding. Most are therefore found severely damaged or missing part of the sheet. This is a superb example with full margins and expert repairs of short tears in the bottom margin. The image is very fine.
