First state of this map centered on the Great Lakes but including Lake Winnipeg, the lower part of Hudson Bay, the St. Lawrence estuary and the New England coast. It is filled with fascinating notations concerning the land, animals and native inhabitants, which is one of the hallmarks of Cary's maps.
