Two full page and one double page wood engravings. (1) Colonel Grierson, Sixth Illinois Cavalry (on front page with great masthead). (2) The Army of the Cumberland - Charge of the First Wisconsin and Second Indiana Cavalry on the Rebels, October 2. (3) Review by the President of the Cavalry of the Army of the Potomac - General Buford's Division of Regulars (double page).
