Detailed map of Italy, also showing Corsica, Sardinia, the north part of Sicily and the east coast of the Balkans. Many cities and rivers are named throughout. Thyrrhenian and Adriatic Seas are richly adorned with various types of ships, including a sea battle, and a comical-looking sea monster. Decorative title cartouche includes mythological figures including the goddess, Rumina, the She-Wolf of Rome, and a decorative distance scale completes the composition.
