Attractive title page depicting a scene of merchants and sailors on a dock with ships at sails in the background. In the foreground is a large statue of Atlas holding the world on his shoulders, at its base are a globe, atlas, and compass. The ribbon style title is held aloft by cherubs. This is most probably the title page for a specially commissioned atlas, as the Otten brothers were well known for assembling composite atlases to their clients specifications.
