Copper engraved map of the continents with the first voyage of Capt. Cook depicted around South America and across the Pacific to New Zealand, which is well charted. North America is shown with the mythical NORTHWEST PASSAGE and the discoveries of Admiral de Fonte. Lovely cartouche with a sleeping lion in original color.
