Map of the cities Bergen op Zoom and Steenbergen, both located in the Province of Brabant close to the Belgian border. This is a wonderfully detailed map showing the fortifications, farms and forests. It shows the armies marching on the roads leading to Bergen op Zoom and another force approaching Rovers Fort in a fleet of tiny boats. Inset of "Castra Pinfii". Decorated with a strapwork title cartouche and weaponry surrounding the key to the map. A scarce map, due to the financial bankruptcy of Moses Pitt who was only able to complete 4 volumes of an ambitious project for a world atlas.
