Scarce map covering Virginia through New England, the St. Lawrence River, Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. The map is filled with detail of the colonies, as well as settlements, forts, and Indian villages west of the Ohio River. Names Fort Detroit. The map was issued to illustrate Peter Kalm's book of his travels and adventures in the region. Decorative title cartouche and compass rose. $1,500 RESERVE

A beautiful impression on heavy paper. Issued folded and now pressed with fold intersections reinforced with Japanese tissue. A couple of tiny spots, still very good.
