From the enlarged version of Mercator's famous small format atlas. Covers all of northern Asia from Moscow to the "Anian Fretum" and a bit of what is today Alaska. Korea is shown as an island. The Great Wall separates Tartary from China. The newly discovered Nova Zembla is in the northern ocean. Strapwork title cartouche. Archival repair of 1" tear at bottom and a bit of very light discoloration from a previous matting, else very good.
