An interesting French double hemisphere map depicting much of Philip Bauche's theories concerning a NORTHWEST PASSAGE and the Sea of the West in North America. Australia is shown with a severely truncated western coast with Tasmania attached to the mainland. Hand-laid paper with a nice watermark.
