Superb map of ancient France based on the geographic sources of Strabo, Plinius, Virgilius, Ovidius and Caesar with a lot of detail not found on other ancient maps. Fully engraved with mountains, forests and the major cities. Two fine title cartouches and ships sailing in the stipple engraved sea. Very rich original color. Latin text on verso with the page number xj. Ref: van den Broecke #196.
