Interesting twin hemisphere map with a banner title and German text descriptions of Europe, Asia, Africa and America at bottom. Tucked between the hemispheres are depictions of the Copernican and Tycho Brahe solar systems. The map is surrounded by scenes of storms and volcanoes at bottom and the starry heavens above. The map itself reflects up-to-date cartography with most of "New Holland", "Diemen's Land" and Nova Zelandia". The northwest coast of North America is called "Terra Esonis". Original color with a light impression. Tiny bit of foxing in margins and text at bottom, else very good. $550 RESERVE
