Map Collectors' Circle contains what is still the broadest reaching series of cartographic bibliographies. The series was initiated, edited, and published by the most highly regarded map expert of the 20th Century, Mr. Ronald V. Tooley.

This volume by Dr. K. Stopp, Professor at the Institut fur Botanik und Pharmakognosie der Universitat Mainz, covers 19 maps of Germany featuring town views, all from the 17th century. Maps by major cartographers like Hondius, Mercator, Blaeu, Jansson, Kaerius, Speed, Visscher, and De Wit are included. 21 pages plus 22 b&w plates. Soft paper covers.

Text is clean, with a Martayan Lan stamp on the title page. Front cover is just starting to loosen, and there is a tiny chip on the spine. There is a manuscript notation in pen on the front cover, and the title is written in ink on spine.
