This is the full set of Martino Publishing's modern, limited reprint (100 copies for the Phillips, 150 for the LeGear) of Phillips and LeGear's incredible multi-decade endeavor. The first four volumes were originally compiled by Philip Lee Phillips between 1909 and 1920, and Clara LeGear continued the project from 1958 to 1974. These volumes list over 18,000 atlases and contain many full collations, lists of maps, copious annotations, and indexes of authors, cartographers, engravers, and geographic subjects. This set is one of the most important reference works on the atlases and is an important addition for any cartographic reference library. Hardbound in green cloth with gilt titles on spines. The first four volumes have Mylar dust jackets (which were temporarily removed for the image).
