This is a very unusual Bible map with a hemisphere depicting the Old World suspended above a scene of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, which is teeming with life. At the bottom, scenes from the Old Testament prophecy and Christ fulfillment are depicted including: Eve offering the apple to Adam, Noah's Ark, Abraham offering his son to the Lord, Jonah and the whale, the birth of Christ, the Last Supper, the Crucifixion, the Resurrection and the Coming of Christ. Centered at the bottom is God's Lamb (John 1:36). Rare example with blank verso.

A nice impression with contemporary color with gilt highlights in the maps, with later color in the two rows of scenes at bottom. There are professional repairs to some short tears and tiny holes in the image. The margins are a bit narrow but still sufficient for framing.
