This map of the ancient world is divided into seven climatic zones. The Asian continent is severely truncated and there is no Japan. The map is nicely composed in a semi-circular projection with a ribbon draped title cartouche at left and an allegorical vignette of Strabo at a huge globe at right. At top is a strange and interesting vignette showing Prometheus chained to a rock.
