This fascinating map presents the world upside down - at least from the perspective of a resident of the Northern Hemisphere. It was produced by the "Wizard of New Zealand," whose more mundane legal name was Ian Brackenbury Channel. The map was drawn on Mercator's Projection and divided into 3 regions: The Old World (Europe, Asia and Africa), The $Free$ World (North and South America) and The New World (Oceania) or "Third World." Various countries are named with some extra commentary including the United States of America that features a "Devil Zone" along the eastern seaboard, the "Disunited States of South America," and the United Kingdom with Westminster as "The Old Center." New Zealand is within the "Godzone" and notes Christchurch as the headquarters of the Imperial British Conservative Party, a frivolous political party founded by the Wizard in 1974. Seven "Advantages of the Wizard's New Projection of the World" are listed below that mix both the Wizard's personal views and details on the map. The Wizard sums it up in point #2, stating that the map "is a deliberate declaration of cartographical independence from the domination of the Northern Hemisphere intellectuals who control the mass education and mass media institutions in the Southern Hemisphere through their stooges."
