A beautifully engraved chart of the Azores based on Luis Teixeira's cartographic work with three ornate strapwork cartouches and a title banner at top center. The sea is fully engraved in stipple and features a sea monster and sailing ships. This is the third state, with Latin text on verso, published in 1612.

Condition: B+
A dark impression on a watermarked sheet with some staining along the centerfold and in the blank margins, and several separations along the centerfold that have been archivally repaired on verso.
