This fine advertising pocket map of Colorado was published for the benefit of Birthday Mining Company. Red overprinting on the map promotes the mining company, with a circle locating its headquarters in Georgetown. Congressional districts are identified by large red numbers. There is nice detail of counties and topography. Verso contains an index with population for all cities and counties. Folds into red paper covers "Compliments of the Birthday Mining Co." The back cover notes, "In thirteen months this mine has produced a 130 per cent dividend on its paid-up capital." The map was published by the Kenyon Printing & Mfg. Co., Des Moines, Iowa. The company printed these maps for a number of different businesses. Folds into stiff red paper covers (3.1 x 5.5").
