This lovely pair of title pages come from two of the so-called Petits Beaulieu, a series of miniature regional atlases covering France and the Low Countries. The first title page is for the Burgundy atlas and features a river god, Dionysus, shepherd and sheep, and a coat of arms. The second title page is for the Duchy of Guelders and also shows various allegorical figures, lions atop columns wielding swords and arrows, and a coat of arms. Engraving is credited to Romain de Hooghe.
